Our Mission

We create meaningful water-centered experiences that foster healing, empowerment, and representation for female veterans, women and girls. Through fly fishing, conservation education, and community building, we open doors for female veterans, women and girls to reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with one another. We are committed to ensuring female veterans, women and girls have access to spaces where they can heal, grow, and experience lasting joy on the water.

Our Vision

We envision a world where female veterans, women and girls everywhere feel welcomed and confident in outdoor and water spaces. We see a future where representation on the water is the norm, where healing is accessible, and where female veterans, women and girls pass down a legacy of courage, conservation, and connection to the next generation. Our vision is for the water to be recognized as a place of restoration, belonging, and lifelong joy for female veterans, women and girls.

Who We Are
Her Waters, Inc. is a female veteran–led organization dedicated to creating healing and empowering experiences for female veterans, women and girls through water-based engagement. We center our work on fly fishing, conservation, and community-building as pathways to restoration and confidence.

Why We Exist
Many female veterans, women and girls—especially those historically underrepresented in outdoor spaces—have not always felt welcomed on the water. We exist to change that narrative. We believe the water is a place where healing happens, where confidence is built, and where joy can be rediscovered.

What We Do
We provide guided experiences, education, and supportive spaces where female veterans, women and girls can:

Learn fly fishing and outdoor skills
Experience mental and emotional healing on the water
Build friendships and sisterhood
Engage in conservation and stewardship
Gain confidence in new environments

Her Waters, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded with a powerful mission: to connect women, youth, seniors, and veterans to the outdoors through fishing, education, and community-based programs that promote healing, growth, and empowerment.

Born from a personal journey of resilience, remembrance, and reconnection, Her Waters was inspired by the legacy of strong women who passed down the love of fishing through generations. What began as a way to honor family traditions and rebuild confidence became a movement to open doors for others — especially those historically underrepresented in outdoor spaces.

We believe everyone deserves access to the peace, joy, and empowerment that nature provides. Whether it’s casting a first line, sharing stories around the water, or learning new skills in the wild, Her Waters is a safe, inclusive, and uplifting space to belong.
